Never used split bamboo fly rod I won in a raffle. It is a 7 1/2 ft 4/5 weight 2 piece rod with extra tip. Built by Mark S. Lenarz in his shop in Grand Rapids, Minn. It is based on a taper from a Paul Young Perfectionist rod, and retailed for $1400. The information sheet with the rod has the following information: Tonkin cane from China's Guangdon Province; ferrule & reel seat are all nickel silver; guides & ferrules wrapped with YLI#241 old gold silk thread & tipped with YLI black silk thread; 2 coats of Helmsman spar urethane on tip sections & 3 coats on butt section; hand polished. Comes with quality rod bag & 4 ft aluminum rod tube with brass ends. Paperwork also has suggestions for the proper use & care of the rod. It also states that this is NOT a fragile rod, & with proper care should last a lifetime. I don't answer emails. Call Ted at 434-1180. Thanks for looking.
