Some of my animals were recently illegally seized by Otero County animal workers. It was never my intention they go to the county facility. I had posted ads to rehome them. To screen potential adopters. The home check was in retribution to a dog getting beaten and drugged, and I stepped in. Some of these dogs are part of an ongoing abuse case at the state level. Separate from myself. I was caring for them for 5 months. No one helped. I do ALL their laundry by hand. I'm sure anyone can imagine how much laundry a potty training dog goes through. I never asked to care for them. They would have died. So I was caring for them. When I accessed Otero County Shelter, to see who they listed, I added a few comments when they had a breed, age, or other detail incorrect. They blocked me on their site, and got me blocked on Facebook for one month. For what?
This girl concerns me currently. I KNOW her exact age, behavioral issues, and cause for same. Her name is JEWELL. She's 40 lbs, last time I weighed her. AND GROWING. Staffies dont quit growing, for 3-4 years. The first 2 years are generally frame and height. Then they fill out. Jewell eats A LOT. Shes kennel trained, leash trained, and WAS a happy girl. I DID THAT. ME. With no help. She's NOT 2 years, she's 15 months exactly. Still a baby. She's NOT JRT mix, shes JRT/Staffie.

IN ADDENDUM: If you recently adopted a small dog from Otero County, and they were sketchy on background and stats, please private message me a pic of said dog, and if its one of the crew they snatched, I can remit aforementioned details on the dog. One is a small black male with a suspected kidney issue, and he's gonna need treatment.
