160 Tulip Bulbs from Holland in Alamogordo

These are (160) Tulip bulbs from Holland as listed.

Tulips if planted properly in the correct soil are perennial, meaning
they will grow back every year. You should let these soak in water for
a day before planting. DO NOT cover the bulbs in complete water to soak.
Put enough water to barely cover them. Keep them separate so you know which
species in which.

New Mexico soil is a little too alkaline. Tulips thrive in well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly acidic pH (6.0-6.5). They prefer a sandy loam, which is a mix of sand, silt, and clay, allowing for good drainage and aeration. If your soil is heavy clay or sandy, you can improve it by adding compost and percolate, ( white foam looking material) and other organic matter. You will need to fertilize with an acidic fertilizer when planted and every year in early spring. Use organic top soil and sand, 1/3 sand, 2/3 soil. Purchase one of those water and pH testers
and test the soil pH after planting. You should cover the ground with straw in the winter to keep bulbs from freezing.

If done right, you will have 160 + beautiful Tulips every spring.

Tulips can reproduce asexually by producing smaller bulbs, known as offsets or bulblets, along the sides of the main bulb.

Maturation:

These offsets take a couple of years to mature and develop into flowering bulbs.

While the offsets are maturing, they are still connected to the mother bulb and may draw nutrients, potentially reducing the vigor of the mother bulb and its flowering ability. That is why it is important to fertilize each spring and fall with a good acidic pH fertilizer and nitrogen.

Encouraging Offset Growth:

To encourage more consistent flowering, gardeners can fertilize tulip plants with nitrogen before blooming and allow the foliage to fully dry after flowering before removing it.

Naturalization:

Some tulip varieties, particularly species tulips, are known to naturally spread through offsets, forming clumps over time.

Within 3-4 years these 160 bulbs can grow to nearly 500 bulbs, which you can thin and then resale. - Start your own Tulip farm.

These sell for around $50.00 plus shipping + taxes.

You'll never see a price like this ever again.
