I’ve had this miter saw for about 30 years, and it’s probably at least a decade older than that. It has never let me down. It was made in the US before planned obsolescence became the standard.
It is really handy on a big project as a second saw to use for 90 cuts or cuts where the angle won’t be changing from piece to piece. I found it’s sometimes easier to just have two saws instead of having to constantly readjust a single one. This saw only has one adjustment, so there’s less opportunity for error.
The blade still cuts ok, but has a few teeth that were damaged from nail hits. The cord was cut, but I properly repaired it using solder and heat shrink. The board is easy to replace with a chunk of 2x6. There is no trigger safety to deal with. There is a manual blade brake that works pretty well. It uses standard 5/8 hole 10” blades.
I can provide a video of it running upon request. If you pick it up at my house you can test it.
General Sales Terms:
I only accept cash (US paper currency in reasonable denominations), presented in person at the time of sale. If you feel that my asking price is too high, there is no need to tell me. If it doesn’t sell after a while, I will either lower the price, list the item elsewhere, or donate it. I am not in a hurry to sell anything. I have had issues in the past where a buyer would agree upon a price and then offer less money upon meeting up. Please don’t do this. If you want to buy multiple items at the same time, I may be willing to negotiate before meeting up. I may or may not have change, so either have the exact amount or ask beforehand.
I do my best to provide representative pictures and an accurate description. After reading the description and examining the pictures, feel free to ask for clarification or further details. The information I provide is accurate to the best of my knowledge. My reputation and conscience are worth more to me than whatever I would make ripping people off. That being said, all sales are as-is and final. When applicable and practical, I will demonstrate the function of each item at the time of sale.
I live about 10 miles south of Alamogordo. My house is pretty far off the beaten path, so for smaller items I prefer to meet up somewhere nearby that is more easily accessible. I can also meet up in Alamogordo on some weekdays around either 8 or 3. If you will not be there at the agreed upon time, please be considerate and let me know as early as possible. I will do the same. Once we have a meeting planned I will not sell the item to anyone else.
Thanks,
Daniel
