Very large when extended with the 3 leaves which are included. No chairs. It has 4 lyre harp legs with metal toe caps. n I bought it that was what I had planned to do but for various reasons not an option for me now. I do use it in my living/dining area and people comment on the beautiful table. The style is wonderful and it is in very good condition. Here are numbers on bottom: "635-3 13Y D/CXFT Top w/3LVS/954" I tried to contact Drexel to verify date but they are no longer in business. Too bad as they made quality furniture. Here is a link to a matching chair (which I have no matching chairs, unfortunately) but shows what the lyre harp leg looks like. Call me for more infomation and a picture of the table.
